Accountant Client Manager

The Role

Location:

Harpenden, Hertfordshire (Hybrid)

Position:

Full-time (part-time may be considered)

Salary:

£30,000–£40,000 (based on experience)

Reports to:

Managing Director

You’ll lead client relationships, oversee account delivery, and manage both junior and outsourced teams to ensure seamless service.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Reviewing accounts and management reports to:
    • Identify business growth opportunities
    • Spot tax planning opportunities
    • Ensure full compliance with UK regulations
  • Managing client relationships proactively – we don’t wait for year-end
  • Leading delivery across junior UK team members and outsourced support
  • Involvement in Dubai accounting and tax planning (training provided)
  • Working on mergers, acquisitions and complex business structuring

What We’re Looking For

Essential Skills:

  • Strong experience reviewing accounts and management reports
  • Commercial awareness – spotting opportunities and adding value
  • Confidence managing client relationships and meetings
  • Ability to oversee teams and coordinate delivery

Preferred:

  • Experience or interest in UK & UAE tax
  • Property tax knowledge or willingness to learn

Qualifications:

  • Part-qualified or finalist (ACCA/ACA/CIMA)
  • 3 years experience
